Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of PufferCut, a Shopify product video creation app operated by Sates Oy.

By installing or using the app, a merchant agrees to these terms on behalf of the store or business they represent.

PufferCut helps merchants create, preview, render, and publish product videos using merchant-owned Shopify product content, media, brand settings, and offer copy.

The app is not a sales channel, payment gateway, marketplace, lending product, or checkout service.

The app depends on Shopify APIs, Shopify authentication, Shopify billing, and merchant-granted permissions. Some functionality may be unavailable if permissions are removed, Shopify services are unavailable, or Shopify platform rules change.

Merchants are responsible for ensuring they have rights to all product images, logos, copy, music choices, brand assets, offer details, and other content used to create videos.

Merchants must not use the app to create unlawful, misleading, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content.

Subject to payment obligations and these terms, merchants may use rendered videos created from their store content for their business.

The merchant remains responsible for reviewing generated videos before publishing, including prices, offers, dates, claims, and regulatory disclosures.

Paid plans, trials, usage allowances, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations are handled through Shopify billing. Pricing terms shown in the app, Shopify App Store listing, and Shopify billing confirmation flow should be reviewed before approval.

Current plans include Free, Plus, and Pro, with render allowances shown in the app and Shopify billing flow. Shopify billing confirmation is the source of truth before a paid subscription is approved.

Billing disputes, charge questions, credits, or refunds may be handled through Shopify billing where available or by contacting PufferCut support.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain the service, improve functionality, comply with platform requirements, or address security and operational needs.

We aim to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

Merchants must not attempt to bypass security controls, abuse rendering infrastructure, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, interfere with other users, or use the app in a way that violates Shopify policies or applicable law.

The privacy policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used. Merchants should review the privacy policy before installing or using the app.

The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee specific sales, conversion, revenue, ranking, advertising, or storefront performance outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PufferCut and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PufferCut's total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount paid by the merchant for PufferCut during the three months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

The parties will try to resolve disputes in good faith through support first. If a dispute relates to Shopify billing, it may be handled through Shopify billing processes where applicable. Other disputes may be resolved through a mutually agreed dispute resolution process, including arbitration where both parties agree.
