Brand Kit and Templates
Use PufferCut brand settings and templates to create product videos that match your store.
Brand settings help PufferCut make each video feel connected to your storefront. Templates control the structure of the video, while the brand kit controls the visual style.
Brand kit basics
Your brand kit may include colors, logo usage, and style settings such as corner radius. Keep these settings close to your storefront theme so the finished video feels familiar to shoppers.
If your plan includes saved brand kit defaults, use them for repeatable catalog work. Saved defaults are especially useful when several products need the same launch, offer, or product-page style.
Choosing colors
Use one main brand color for emphasis and one neutral color for readability. High contrast is important because product videos are often viewed on small screens and in busy feeds.
Before rendering, preview the video on the format you plan to use. A color combination that looks good in a large landscape preview may feel crowded in a vertical story.
Logo use
Use a logo when it helps shoppers connect the video back to your store. Keep the logo small enough that it does not compete with the product, price, or call to action.
If the logo has low contrast against the video background, use a simpler template, adjust colors, or try a version of the logo with a clearer background.
Choosing templates
Pick templates based on what the shopper needs to understand:
- Product showcase: introduce the product clearly.
- Gallery carousel: show different angles or variants.
- Lifestyle spotlight: connect the product to a use case.
- Urgency or offer: emphasize time-sensitive promotions.
- CTA close: end with a direct next step.
Templates are merchandising patterns. Choose the one that explains the product best, not the one with the most motion.
Choosing formats
Use the format that matches the destination:
- 9:16 for stories, reels, Shorts, and vertical placements.
- 4:5 for mobile feeds.
- 1:1 for square social feeds and compact product placements.
- 16:9 for landscape placements and product-page video players.
- Display formats for Google display placements.

Keeping videos readable
Short text performs better in templates. If a line wraps too much or covers the product, shorten the text before rendering.
Read edit copy and calls to action for examples.
